Why This Matters to Me

This started with my mom, Jerry.

She was diagnosed at 61 with early-onset Alzheimer’s, and everything I know about brain health came from trying to save hers.

I spent years researching, learning, and sharing what I discovered—especially within the Deaf community and with ASL interpreters.

After my mom passed away last year, I took time away. Recently, I started teaching again, and felt something reignite.

So this year, in honor of her, I’m guiding 68 Brain Health Conversations—one for every year she lived.

Because you and your family deserve to know now what we wish we knew then.

What is a Brain Health Conversation?

This isn’t a lecture or clinical presentation.

It’s a guided, interactive conversation where you’ll learn what matters for your brain health—and have space to reflect on your own life, habits, and risk factors.

You don’t need any background knowledge. Just curiosity and a willingness to think about your future in a different way.
